Lyndsey Lipscomb is in her fifth year leading the Vernon College Softball program, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field. A native of Garland, Texas, Lipscomb is a proud alumni of Garland High School, where she was a member of the 2006 5A State Championship softball team.
Lipscomb began her collegiate playing career as a catcher at Vernon College, competing from 2006 to 2008. She then continued her academic and athletic journey at Texas Woman’s University. There, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a concentration in Kinesiology and a minor in Education. Committed to furthering her career, Lipscomb returned to TWU to earn a master’s degree in Sport Management and Administration in 2014.
Her coaching journey began at Vernon College as an assistant softball coach, where she gained valuable experience at the collegiate level. In 2013, Lipscomb transitioned to high school coaching, accepting a position at Willis High School in Willis, Texas. Over her nine-year tenure, she helped guide the program to multiple playoff appearances, highlighted by a 5A State Runner-Up finish in 2017.
